Extra help for adults.
At St Helens College we realise that some adults may need extra help and support when they return to study. That’s why we operate a wide ranging Fee Discount Policy and also support the following initiatives targeted at adult students:-
FREE* Full Level 2 Courses
Full Level 2 courses are for adults (19+ upwards) who are looking to obtain qualifications to improve their career opportunities. You could be unemployed, seeking qualifications to boost your job chances, or in work and looking to upgrade your qualifications to improve your promotion prospects or prepare for a change of career.
If you are not in receipt of a means tested benefit (Job Seekers Allowance, Income support, Housing Benefit, Working Tax Credit), or are an unwaged dependent of one of the above, and you do not already have a first Level 2 qualification or equivalent (5 GCSEs at grades A - C), then you may be eligible for remission of Full Level 2 tuition fees**.

NEW! FREE* Full Level 3 Courses – for 19 to 25 year olds
From August 2007, adults under the age of 25 who have missed out on education and training opportunities will be able to get free tuition to obtain a first, Full Level 3 qualification, equivalent to two A Levels.
