St Helens College has invested £40,000 on new equipment so you can maximise your studies and improve your employability with up-to-date skills in our MOT bay, fast-fit department, spray booth and when using paintless dent removal equipment.

You’ll be getting stuck into real work on real cars in our newly refurbished automotive hub, where the atmosphere is fast-paced and energetic.

You will benefit

Many of our students have the opportunity to participate in trips to The Autosport Show and The Truck Show, in addition to meeting with guest speakers including, Halfords representatives who offer annual trade discount cards to our motor vehicle students.

All of our tutors are Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) registered, ensuring that you are being taught by the very best in the industry.

You will succeed

We have strong links with local businesses where our students can secure work placements, gaining valuable on-the-job experience. Many students have secured permanent, full-time employment with their work placement employers such as Jaguar Land Rover, Howard Basfords and Graham Martin Automotive Ltd.

You will stand out

To help you stand out from the crowd when securing employment or progressing onto further qualifications, you will have the opportunity to build new network links, and work on the cars of paying customers as they bring their vehicles into the workshop for maintenance and repair.
