Theatre and Performance
Theatre and Performance occurs not only in theatre buildings, but also in cities, on streets, in rituals and daily life, and in spaces real, virtual and imagined.
The Foundation Degree in Theatre and Performance at University Centre St Helens is designed for people with a genuine interest and commitment to contemporary theatre and performance, who are looking to develop their creative skills to secure work within the industry, or to progress to higher level study. Age is no barrier to success in this field. Those with energy and tenacity, and a desire to create, develop and present contemporary theatre are the type of applicants we are looking for.
You will be taught by an experienced team with a wide range of interests reflecting all areas of drama, theatre and performance. Lecturers are active in the arts sector outside of their academic commitments.
University Centre St Helen also works in Partnership with The Heart of Glass to offer a rich, vibrant, quality experience for students. The partnership has provided a high quality arts space, volunteering and work experience opportunities, live projects, guest lectures and tutorials from commissioned artist’s producers and curators.
