Chartered Management Institute Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Leadership & Management (Postgraduate)
The course is developed for directors, senior managers and practising managers who have the responsibility to translate organisational strategy into effective performance, the Level 7 qualifications in Strategic Management and Leadership requires the manager to focus on the implementation of their organisational strategy.
The course is suited to those who work and have extensive experience at middle/senior level, and who wish to cement their experience with the appropriate qualification to demonstrate this. It is also suitable for aspiring managers who already have relevant qualifications but wish to prepare themselves for future advancement.
When will I start the course and how long will it take?
This is a 2 year course and has start dates in January, April and September. The course will be delivered on Monday evenings, 5.30pm - 8.30pm. Candidates may be able to start at other dates subject to availability of places.
What will I study?
This qualification is designed for managers who have the authority and personal inspiration to translate organisational strategy into effective operational performance. You will build upon your strategic management and leadership skills while focussing on requirements of implementing the organisation's strategy.

How is the course assessed?
The course is assessed by 9 written assessments, all of which must be successfully completed.
Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?
You should be aged 19 or over and have sufficient capability to undertake the learning and assessment. Your previous qualifications and workplace experience will be considered.

What can I do once I’ve finished this course?
The Level 7 qualification entitles the holder to register for student membership of the CMI, and allows you to seek upgrade at a later date to either Associate Member or Full Member. It is also possible to apply to become a Chartered Manager with the CMI awarding body. The CMI is the foremost professional association for managers and supervisors in Europe, and so the CMI qualifications are recognised and approved by employers nationally.
