Roy Clarke
Roy Clarke was formerly a General Manager of Pilkington UK Ltd and is now a self-employed consultant and a part time OFSTED inspector. Roy has been a Member of the Board since Pre-Incorporation,and was appointed originally as Chair of the Corporation in September 2001, and has been re-appointed on an annual basis since this time. Roy is also a Member and Chair of the Resources Committee and also a Member of the Remuneration Committee & Chair of the Search and Governance Committee.
Elaine Brocklehurst
Elaine Brocklehurst is a Manager at Knaufinsulation Ltd in St Helens and joined the Corporation in January 1998. Elaine is the Deputy Chair of the Corporation and is also a Member of the Corporation’s Resources, Gamble Education Charity Trust and Search and Governance Committees, and is also Chair of both the Remuneration Committee and the Standards and Curriculum Committee. Elaine is also the Governor lead for the Excellence Workstream.
Pat Bacon
Pat Bacon was appointed Principal of the College in January 2002 and is also a Member of the Corporation and a Member of the majority of the Corporation’s Standing Committees (apart from the Remuneration and Audit Committees)
Kath Boullen
Kath Boullen is the Chief Executive of St Helens Chamber and joined the Corporation in September 1998. Kath is also a Member of the Search and Governance Committee and is the Governor lead for the 14-19 strategic audience.
Diane Charnock
Diane Charnock was appointed to the
Corporation in March 2010 and is a
senior consultant working primarily
with the National Health Service.
Diane is a member of the Standards
and Curriculum Committee and is also
the Governor lead for the Adults
strategic audience.
Cllr Eric Smith
Eric Smith was appointed to the
Corporation in July 2010.
Eric is an elected Member of St Helens
Borough Council and is the portfolio
holder for Children and Young People
Services. Eric is also a member of the
Audit Committee.
Phil Forrest
Phil Forrest was appointed as a
Member of the Corporation in January
2007, and is the Chief Internal Auditor
of St Helens Council.
Phil is also Chair of the Audit
Committee and is the Governor link
with Corporate Services (Resources).
Nick Hall
Nick Hall was appointed to the Board in
May 2005. Nick is a Solicitor/Managing
Partner with J Keith Parks and Co, a firm
of solicitors in St Helens. Nick is also a
Member of the Resources Committee and
is the Governor Lead for Innovation and
Development and Health and Safety
Graham Haselden
Graham Haselden joined the
Corporation in November 1999 and is
the Chair of the St Helens Coalition
of Disabled People in St Helens.
Graham is Chair of the
Accommodation and Access
Development Group, a Member of
the Audit Committee and is the
Governor lead for Equality and
Diversity. (Under the Excellence
workstream).
Susan Jee
Susan Jee was appointed to the
Corporation in March 2009 and has
recently retired as the Group Finance
Director at British Nuclear Fuels Ltd.
Susan is a Member of the Resources
Committee and is also the Governor
link with Corporate Services (HR)
including stress management.
Chris Marshall
Chris Marshall is the Student Govenor
elected for a 6 month term of office by
the College Student Forum. Chris is
currently studying at the College in the
first year of the National Award
in Public Services.
Ann Mabbott
Ann Mabbott was appointed to the
Corporation in September 2005. Now
retired, Ann is a former Deputy
Headteacher and was also the
Education Manager for St Helens
Chamber. Ann is also a Member of the
Standards and Curriculum and is Chair
of the Gamble Education Charity Trust
Committees. Ann is also the Governor
lead with Faculties and for self
assessment.
John Middlehurst
John Middlehurst was appointed as
Member of the Corporation
in January 2007. John is the retired
Chief Executive of Waterside Training
Ltd, and now runs his own property
maintenance and consultancy firm.
John is also a Member of the Audit
Committee and is the Governor lead
for the Business Strategic audience.

Reece Morris
Reece Morris is the elected Student Union President and Student Governor elected for a one year term-of-office. Reece is currently studying at the College on the second year of the National Certificate in Performing Arts.
Damian Owen
Damian Owen became the elected
staff Member in September 2007 for a
four year term-of-office, which
includes membership of the Standards
and Curriculum Committee and also
the Gamble Education Charity Trust
Committee. Damian is a lecturer in
the college of Management and
Business Technology.
Phil Round
Phil Round joined the Corporation in
January 2003 and is the Education and
Training Manager at Jaguar Cars in
Halewood. Phil is a Member of and
Deputy Chair of the Resources
Committee and is also the Governor
Lead for the Higher Education
strategic audience.
Barbara Swift
Barbara Swift is the former Chief
Executive of the Council for Voluntary
Services in St Helens and has been a
Member of the Corporation since
1994. Barbara is also a Member of
the Audit and the Search and
Governance Committees. Barbara
is also the Lead Governor for
Safeguarding/Every Person Matters.
Chris Jones
Chris Jones was appointed as Clerk to the Corporation in Sept 1997
