St Helens College will be making a limited number of scholarships available for students who are applying to study on a higher education course at the College in September 2012.
The scholarships are part of the Government's new National Scholarship Programme (NSP) and have been introduced to provide financial support to students from low income households who wish to study a programme at undergraduate level.
The scholarship may be worth up to £4,500 for a student on a full time programme of study and pro-rata for a part time student. St Helens College is committed to providing value for money higher education programmes, therefore full time tuition fees for Honours Degrees and Foundation Degrees for 2012/13 will be £5,850 per year.
St Helens College has an increasing reputation for providing a quality learning experience to its higher education students. In the 2011 National Student Survey, published by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (Hefce), St Helens College received 91% student satisfaction rates, the highest score by any college or university in the North West of England.
