HNC Operations Engineering

Our HNC Operations Engineering is recognised by employers nationally as a qualification suitable for those working in higher technical, supervisory and management positions in operations engineering. You will develop analytical and evaluate skills during the course and will be well equipped to undertake more senior roles in the engineering industry.

You will study engineering principles as well as gaining an understanding of management and business practice in the engineering sector. You will gain an insight into the design, management and control of all operations engineering processes including health and safety practices in the industry. Study also involves undertaking practical project based work.

What will I study?

The HNC Operations Engineering offers the opportunity to study the discipline of operations engineering at a technical level, and as such provide you with a qualification that reflects your theoretical and practical knowledge.

How will I study?

The HNC Manufacturing Engineering is delivered at the newly refurbished Technology Centre which has recently received significant investment. The course is well-established as well as well-respected part time qualification.

Learning will be through practical sessions and classroom based lectures.

You will be required to study on one extended day per week (typically from 9am to 8pm) for two years.

How will I be assessed?

All units are assessed by a selected combination of assignments, progress tests and end of session open book examinations.

Who will be teaching me?

An experienced team with a wide range of interests reflecting all areas of Operations Engineering. Staff also have experience of working in industry.
