Fiona Stirling
Programme Leader
Fiona Stirling is a Fine Art Painter with 20-plus years of experience teaching in the Further and Higher education sector. Fiona exhibits nationally and internationally. Her PhD research investigates the impact of time and space on the paintings of contemporary mid-life women artists. She has developed a methodology of ‘painting ad-hoc’ and ‘inbetweener painting’, which describes how she practices outside her working and caring responsibilities in other times and spaces. She organises and participates in symposiums connected to this theme and collaborates with others to investigate her research topic.
Dean Betton
Programme Leader
Dean has over 20 years' industry experience, working in various location across the globe. His work portfolio boasts contributions on multiple AAA games titles including Art Director for Star Wars Battle Front, Lead Character Artist for Sony’s Formula One Grand Prix and Environment Artist on the Wipeout franchise to name but a few.

Phil King
Programme Leader
Phil has over 30 years' experience, spanning the commercial sector across the world, in countries such as Australia, Senegal and Oman. A passionate educator, he teaches various art and design disciplines and is also an accomplished multi-media artist, having had many pieces of work published, including photographic art exhibited by Chester Art Centre.
