January 2016 - University Centre St Helens gains accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). February 2016 - Department for Education place St Helens College at the top of the league tables Colours of the World Festival - Staff and students gathered to explore different countries and cultures from around the world with an interactive Equality and Diversity event.

September 2016 - Launch of new Access to	Apprenticeships course to get students job ready and in a position to secure a dream apprenticeship. October 2017 - Students gain valuable work experience, volunteering at the Spooky Welly Walk. They contributed to fundraising £60,000 for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. November 2016 - St Helens College 14-16 Academy students attend Westminster after winning the Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA) film competition for Anti-Bullying Week 2016.
