Saints partner with St Helens CollegeSaints Community Development Foundation have partnered with St Helens College to deliver the Level 2 Spectator Safety course.

The Foundation has become a recognised centre for the qualification which allows candidates to progress into employment as stewards at the club.

It focuses on managing and assisting the movement of spectators at events and gives them the practical skills required for progression.

Craig Richards, Saints RL Coach Lead, said: "Saints have been in partnership with St Helens College for a number of years and this further demonstrates the opportunities that exist between the club, Foundation and the College.

"We are proud of how we work with our partners and this is another great example of the ongoing work in the local community by Saints Community Development Foundation."

Clare Webster, Head of Health Science, Care and Public Services Department at St Helens College added: "We really value our relationships with employers and this is just another example of us working collaboratively to develop the delivery of a course to help plug skills gaps.

"This course helps to upskill members of the local community whilst also becoming a platform for further study or progression on to other qualifications."
