Access to HE
Access to Higher Education (HE) courses are designed to help you gain the skills and qualifications you need to successfully progress onto a university level course.
Distance Learning
You will complete the course through an interactive online learning platform and will be assessed through a series of online assessments, with no formal exams.
Part-time degree course
If you want to study a degree or HNC/D but cannot attend university on a full-time basis, studying part-time is a great way to balance further study with other commitments such as work.

In this section please provide us with reasons why you are applying for the course. Including why you want to study this course, what you hope to do once you have completed the course and any personal qualities/characteristics you feel are relevant to your application.

Personal Statement

Please provide a statement of around 1500 words giving your reason for applying and reasons why you wish to study the course, your previous experience of Level 3 learning. Please tell us what you hope to do once you have completed the course. Your statement should include any relevant life experience, your personal qualities and any other relevant information.

In addition to the six hours a week in college, you will need to complete 100 client hours on placement over the two years, 1.5 hours of clinical supervision, monthly (possibly more) and 20 hours of personal counselling with a therapist of your choice. Please include details in your personal statement of any other commitments you may have, including work, Please tell us how you intend to manage this to ensure you are able to full commit to the required level of training.
