AIM Fundraiser 2017

It’s that time of the year again when students and staff from our Health, Sport and Public and Uniformed Services department join together to raise as much money as possible for inspirational charity, AIM (Amputation, Inspiration and Motivation).

The day started off with over 200 of our students participating in individual challenges, including 20,000 press-ups, 20,000 squats, 15,000 sit ups, 6 hour leg stress and 6 hour planks. A number of students even braved the shave to help raise money. The day concluded with the annual ‘Sit Down Volleyball' tournament, which saw our staff, students and AIM representatives battling it out to find the ultimate volleyball champion. A huge well done to staff for winning for a third year in a row!

Students also had a fantastic opportunity to hear inspirational stories from AIM representatives, including life-changing experiences and the importance of overcoming personal challenges in life.

We would just like to thank AIM for coming in today, for challenging our students, for motivating them and for a fantastic game of volleyball. We look forward to doing it all again next year!
