World class Michelin guest chefsColours Restaurant will welcome world class Michelin star chefs into its kitchens for a special guest dinner later this month.

World renowned chefs Steven Doherty, James Holden and Matt Nugent will grace the kitchens of the College's fully operational, training restaurant, Colours for an exclusive Guest Chef Dinner event. Students from catering and hospitality courses at the college will join the chefs in the kitchen to produce and deliver an astounding menu of locally sourced produce while demonstrating culinary flair.

Steven is famed for his work at Le Gavroche with Albert Roux and being the first British person to be Head Chef of a three-Michelin star restaurant in England. Both James and Matt have spent time in several Michelin starred kitchens. James has worked at some of the world's finest hotels including The Savoy in London and Gleaneagles in Scotland and Matt has spent time working for Hilton Hotels and Heathcotes Restaurant.

Terry Lavin, Head of Hospitality and Tourism said: "We are extremely excited to welcome Steven, James and Matt into the kitchens of Colours. Working alongside such prestigious chefs will certainly inspire and motivate our ambitious students for careers in this exciting, growing industry."

This event is the first of several Guest Chef dinners that will take place this year as St Helens College welcomes a host of world acclaimed chefs, providing valuable work experience for our students helping them to gain a greater understanding of working in a fine dining setting.
