Level 1 Early Years students have recently been working on their 'Craft Activities for Young Children' unit.
As part of the unit, students submitted a portfolio bursting with activity plans in preparation for progression on to the level 2 course next year, when they will undertake a childcare placement.
Throughout the unit, students developed their knowledge of an adults role in supporting children of different age ranges with a variety of different craft activities, aspects of health and safety, what support children might need and how different areas of development can be promoted.
The unit concluded with building and completing a gingerbread house, which the students will evaluate next week!
