To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week 2021, St Helens College and Knowsley Community College will take to their digital platforms to showcase the positive impact apprenticeships have on young people, local businesses and the economy.

Taking place from Monday 8th February, both Colleges will launch a week-long campaign aligning to this year’s theme, ‘Build the Future’, featuring successful apprentices, employer insight and knowledge, and a range of apprenticeship opportunities available to both young people and adults. The campaign will also highlight how employers can use apprenticeships to build a future-ready workforce.

As one of the largest apprenticeship providers in the Liverpool City Region, currently offering apprenticeships in over 20 different sectors, from engineering and science to health and business, the Colleges work with a range of high profile employers; including NHS, CAL International, Science and Technology Facilities Council, Riverdale Global, Beverston Engineering and Gleeson Homes.

In addition to planned activity across social media channels, the College’s Apprenticeship Team will host a live ‘All about Apprenticeship’ session via Zoom on Thursday 11th February at 5.30pm, covering everything from the types of apprenticeships available to useful hints and tips on how to apply.

The Apprenticeships Team will also deliver live Q&A sessions throughout the week, from 4.00pm - 6.00pm, to help inform and enhance the information provided about apprenticeships.

As the busy week draws to a close, St Helens College and Knowsley Community College will celebrate and congratulate over 200 of their apprentices, who successfully completed their apprenticeship last year.
