In celebration of National Careers Week, a number of courses welcomed guest speakers last week.
FdA and BA Criminal Justice students attended a virtual session with staff from the Witness Service, gaining valuable insight into the witness journey, working with volunteers, and the challenges of working in a multi-agency environment.
HNC and HND Business Management students were joined virtually with Ant Chisnall, CEO of Drivernet, to an interactive session on how to start a business and the challenges faced in today’s economic climate. Ant gave advice on business start-ups, venture
capital and tech-sector opportunities, followed by a 1-hour Q&A session.
Entry 3 and Level 1 SL learners took part in a Q and A on Teams with 2 guest speakers from the Healthy Living Team and Sports Community Development. The sessions were very insightful and everyone enjoyed the experience.
Level 3 Graphic Design students were joined by former St Helens College student Chloe Berrigan who completed the same course and is now a Junior Graphics & Motion Designer at ISAWITFIRST.
Feedback from students and staff has been really positive and the campaign as a whole has been a great success.
