This week, our Level 2 Diploma in Cabin Crew students have been inspired by three former students, who offered their advice and wisdom about upcoming interviews and assessments.

On Tuesday, previous students Aaron and Rose, who left College in 2017 and both carved out successful careers at Jet2, returned to college to speak to students.

Having both worked across Manchester Airport and London Stansted Airport, they discussed moving away from home and the importance of planning ahead with budgets and savings.

They also encouraged the students to take a determined and hard-working approach to their studies and emphasised the importance of notetaking in preparation for assessments and examinations.

Former student Lauren also visited the College yesterday to share her experiences with the students. Lauren has worked with Jet2 for four years and is now due to begin training with Easy Jet after accepting a job with them.

Lauren talked about her experience with the rigorous Teams interviews that she had to undergo to secure her new role and shared tips and tricks for the students who may soon be facing similar tasks.

She talked about the importance of asking questions at the end of the interview and showing off your knowledge of the company’s values and achievements.

All of the former students emphasised the importance of studying hard and staying focused, explaining that everything they learned during their studies has been important for interviews and even in their current roles.

Thank you to Aaron, Rose and Lauren for coming back to College to speak to our students. The current students are quickly approaching application deadlines and interviews so the wisdom and advice from former students will give them a flying start.
