Picture of our students work.

Games, Animation and VFX students have had their work featured in the 4wardFutures Virtual Space Futures Careers Expo.

The work on display was created as part of a challenge where students from six NextGen Colleges were tasked to research and design a sustainable society on Mars. The opportunity came at the end of a week of remote work experience organised by NextGen Skills Academy and educational charity 4wardFutures.

The students’ work can be found on mezzanine eight of the virtual expo, using your mouse to navigate around the different stands. Take a look at the showcase here: https://4fvirtual.org.uk/mezzanine/

Earlier this year, students had the opportunity to present the work to a panel of space professionals, including a NASA scientist. Read the full story here.

The Expo aims to give young people the opportunity to explore the range of career opportunities available across the Space industry and related sectors.

Rob Hinde, Next Gen Programme Leader at St Helens College, said: “Working on the project was a fantastic experience for the students and it’s great to be able to see all of their hard work presented in the virtual showcase.”
