Picture of carpentry and joinery apprentices and tutors with GAP donation

Left to right; First-year level 2 Carpentry and Joinery Apprentices: Kieran, Ryan and Benjamin with Carpentry and Joinery tutors James Hurst and Neil Whitfield.

Our Carpentry and Joinery department are delighted to have received a generous donation of more than £2,000 worth of materials and literature from GAP, a leading manufacturer of UPVC building products that operate across the nation.

The impressive donation included a variety of PVC doors, frames, window frames, and fascia boards, all of which will go towards our students' learning, allowing them to work with a variety of construction materials that are now commonly used in new build and refurbishment projects.

Carpentry and Joinery tutor Neil Whitfield said: "I have known GAP since they were first established in 1993 and have seen the company grow into the UK's foremost market leader for UPVC home improvement products.

"Receiving their support is amazing and will significantly benefit our students' learning. It'll give them the opportunity to work with industry recognised products and materials that they will work with within their future careers."
