Our talented level 1 Carpentry and Joinery students have put their skills to the test and built a brand-new animal enclosure for our Animal Management Unit.
The new enclosure was purpose-built for our resident Boa Constrictor Dan, who has outgrown his previous home and needed some extra space so that he can fully stretch out.
The students used the skills they’ve gained on their course to build his new home, including the use of power tools, circular saws and electric planes, whilst gaining valuable onsite experience that will help them to transition on to their Level 2 course next year.
We love to see different departments working together like this!
