Our Level 2 and 3 Aviation students jetted off to Belfast for an exciting trip, where they got to observe airport staff in action at Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Belfast International Airport.

The students took their learning beyond the classroom, observing airport protocol, including the check in process, security, retail and boarding procedures, all before boarding their flight.

In Belfast, the students took in the sights of the city, exploring the Christmas Markets, City Hall and the viewing dome at Victoria Square, before touring a number of historical sites, including the Law Courts, River Lagan, Statue of Harmony, The Big Fish and Custom House Square.

We caught up with Aviation tutor, Daniel, who said “The Belfast trip was a great opportunity for the students to compare passenger handling facilities at two large airports, including check in, security, retail and ramp handling. This was a great way for the students to see what they’d learnt in their Airport Operations, E-business for Airlines and Employment Opportunities across the Aviation Sector units come to life!”
