A good understanding of common health conditions is essential in any care environment. In the UK, someone is diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease every hour; there are approximately 152,000 strokes each year; and one in six have some form of hearing loss. These health conditions, along with others such as arthritis and dementia, affect a substantial proportion of the population.
This course is ideal for individuals who are looking to start work in, or currently working in adult health and social care who want to gain an awareness of a number of common health conditions and the monitoring of those affected.
As the course is completed online, the use of a computer or laptop is recommended, however all student have access to our campus libraries including our quiet study spaces and computer suites!
