The responsibilities of care workers to protect the health, well-being and human rights of vulnerable individuals are far-reaching and can often involve health agencies, government departments or the police. Understanding the fundamentals of safeguarding is essential for anyone working in adult health and social care.
During this course learners will examine the principles of dignity, safeguarding and duty of care and how they are applied in everyday work contexts. They will also have an opportunity to explore the potential dilemmas that may arise.
This course is designed for those who are already working with or intending to work with vulnerable adults in a health and social care setting.
As the course is completed online, the use of a computer or laptop is recommended, however all student have access to our campus libraries including our quiet study spaces and computer suites!
