Level 3 Certificate in Swedish Massage

This course is suitable for those who wish to gain a recognised, professional qualification in Swedish massage to launch a career as a qualified Massage Therapist.

You will develop a wide range of technical skills enabling you to provide relaxing massage treatments using classical Swedish massage movements.

This course will start in September and will take one year to complete.

This course will take place at our Town Centre Campus, Water Street, St Helens, WA10 1PP.

During this course, you will cover the following units:

  • Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon
  • Client care and communication in beauty related industries
  • Provide body massage

You will study alongside like-minded people in classes delivered by friendly supportive tutors.

You will be assessed through ongoing practical observations carried out within a realistic working environment, portfolio evidence, external examinations and a graded synoptic assessment.

You should have completed the level 2 in Beauty Therapy.

Additionally, you should have a passion for improving the health and wellbeing of clients and a personable approach to communicating with the general public.

The course fee is £941.

If you are aged 19 or over, you could also choose to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover your course fees enabling you to study now, pay later. Loan eligibility isn’t dependent on income or employment status and there is no credit check. Loan repayments don’t start until you have finished your course and earn over £25,000 per year. There are also a number of payment options including an interest-free payment plan with a monthly direct debit payment.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will have the opportunity to progress onto the Level 3 Certificate in Stone Therapy.

Alternatively, you may wish to travel the world working on cruise ships, develop skills in a local salon or spa, embrace the rewards of retail sales or grow your own business.

Additional Information

As part of this programme you are required to wear a uniform. There is also a kit required to complete your assessments which can be purchased from a recommended supplier. You may be eligible for financial support to cover these costs.
