This advanced level course is the final step to preparing your for a successful career in the industry!

You will cover everything from hot water, cold water and central heating system planning and design to environmental technology systems and site procedures.

Start Date and Duration

The course will start in September and will take one year to complete.

This course will take place at our Green Energy Skills Centre, Langtree Street, St Helens, Merseyside, WA9 1AR.

Course Content

During this course, you will cover the following:

Cold water system planning and design
Hot water system planning and design
Central heating system planning and design
Sanitation system planning and design
Environmental technology systems
Site procedures and planning

You will also complete valuable work experience alongside this course.

Assessment Methods

During this course, you’ll be assessed through an end of year exam and practical synoptic exercise.

Entry Requirements

You should have 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and maths, and a relevant level 2 qualification.

Course Cost

If you are a school leaver, aged 16-18, (under the age of 19 on or before 31st August 2025), you do not pay tuition fees or examination and registration fees and may be eligible for additional support depending on your financial situation.
