Cake Decoration, Sugar and Spice, Let's Royal Ice Cookery Course

This course is suitable for students aged 19 and over.

This course is ideal for those who are interested in cake decoration and want to develop and enhance their decorative skills to perfect cakes to a high standard.

When will I start the course and how long will it take?

This course is due to start in February 2021. You will attend college on Thursday evening from 6.00pm - 9.00pm, for four weeks.

This course takes place at St Helens College, Town Centre Campus, St Helens, WA10 1PP.

What will I study?

The course provides you with an opportunity to enhance your skills in finishing cakes for every occasion, whether that be for birthdays, Christmas, weddings or any other special events.

Using Royal and fondant icing, you will learn the intricacies of piping and creating a medley of fine intricate finishes not only will you glean tricks of the trade but the programme will also encourage you to develop your creative side.

How is it assessed?

There is no formal assessment. The course is aimed to increase your own knowledge of the subject matter. As with all of our leisure cookery courses, the main emphasis is to come along and enjoy!

Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?

There are no formal entry requirements. The course is suitable for all levels of ability.

You will need to wear strong, flat sensible shoes and bring along an apron, tea towel, and an oven glove.

Please bring along a container to take what you have made home with you.

What are the course fees?

The total cost of the course is £120. The course price is inclusive of all of the ingredients that you will need for each session. You can take home your creations to enjoy.
