Level 2 Preparation to Work in the Digital Sector
This course is suitable for students aged 19 and over.
Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is one of the largest employment sectors throughout the country.
The course covers a range of topics to provide you with the necessary skills, knowledge and behaviours that you will need to work within the digital sector as an IT practitioner.
You will have the opportunity to gain core skills and explore topics that reflect employers needs.
When will I start the course and how long will it take?
This course has flexible start dates throughout the year and will take 12 weeks to complete.
The course delivered via our virtual learning platform, which enables you to access it in your own time and at your own pace.
Tutor support will be available via Microsoft Team as and when needed.
What will I study?
The course covers five modules including:
- How to set up and use Zoom
- How to set up and use Microsoft Teams
- Social media strategy
- Technical skills
- Building an online presence
How is it assessed?
The course is assessed through a short knowledge test, completed on the online platform at the end of the course, based on the topics covered.
Upon completion you will be sent a certificate.
Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?
No formal qualifications are required.
You will need access to a computer and an internet connection.
What are the course fees?
This course is FREE for residents within the Liverpool City Region (Liverpool, Halton, Knowsley, St Helen's, Sefton, Wirral), regardless of your individual circumstances.
If you live outside of the Liverpool City Region course fees apply. The fee for this course is £362.
What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?
This course provides lots of transferable skills and is designed to help learners move into employment in the digital sector.
You could also choose to progress onto to a level 3 qualification.
