Our Supported Learning department is a friendly and nurturing environment, which supports young peoplewith awide range of learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Wewant our students to be fully engaged in their own choices, possessing the ability tomake informed and safe decisions about their future steps into independent living or work, as well as becoming active and productivemembers of the local andwider community. Supported Learning www.knowsleycollege.ac.uk /supportedlearning During their time at College, students have the opportunity to develop their work skills including communication and teamwork alongwith life skills such asmoneymanagement, cookery and safe travel. They will followan individualised programme of study includingmaths, English, Open Awards qualifications, interventions andwork experience designed tomeet their EHCP outcomes and their identified individual development. Students will leave us with skills for life and an understanding of the importance of their physical and mental wellbeing. They will choose their pathway depending on their own goals for the future – Life Skills Pathway or Work Skills Pathway. 22
