At Knowsley Community College, we have options to suit all students depending on how you like to study, andwhat youwant to do in the future. University Employment More Training Working in a practical, hands- onway, youwill complete coursework alongside assessments and external examinations, specialising in one subject. These types of courses are great if you knowwhat you want to do in the future. Vocational/ Technical & BTECs Designed by employers, T Levels combine practical and theoretical learningwith real-life industry experience. You’ll spend 80%of your time in College and 20%on a 45-day industry placement to experience having a real career while you continue your studies. T-Levels Apprenticeships Apprenticeships give you the benefits of both study and employment. Earn a salary, receive training, gain qualifications and learn job- specific skills. Youwill spend a minimumof 6 hours per week completing ‘off-the job training’ which can either be day release in College, remote learning or allocated time in theworkplace. 27
