Free Dedicated Bus Service
St Helens College has a dedicated, FREE bus service on four key routes, covering Penketh, Maghull, Kirkby, Leigh, Ashton-in-Makerfield and South Liverpool.
The free bus will be easy to spot. Just look for a bus or coach, which will be clearly marked with route A, B or C, depending on where you live. The front of the bus will also display ”Free College Bus”.
To access the free bus service, you will need to stand at the designated stop and put your hand out to make it clear to the bus driver that you would like them to stop. Once on the bus, you will need to show your College bus pass to the driver at the time of boarding. You will receive this College bus pass at the start of term. You do not need an Arriva bus pass to access the St Helens College bus.

Penketh Bus Route
This service is in partnership with Carmel College and Maynes Coaches.
The free bus will be easy to spot. Just look for a Maynes bus or coach, which will be clearly marked with “Route 1 Kingsway”. To access the free bus service, you will need to stand at the designated stop and make it clear to the bus driver that you would like them to stop. Once on the bus, you will need to show your student bus pass to the driver at the time of boarding.
You will receive this student bus pass when you enrol on your chosen course at St Helens College.
