Picture of The Mercian's performing in CollegeThe Mercians, an emerging UK indie band, recently visited our local college, captivating students, and staff with an exclusive performance.

The intimate concert, held at the Town Centre Library, featured a blend of the band's original music and select cover songs, including a remarkable rendition of The Zutons' "Valerie". As part of their year-long tour, the Leicester-based group is visiting educational institutions nationwide to not only share their music but also their personal experiences and struggles with mental health.

Through their platform, The Mercians aim to foster respect and understanding for mental health issues, as well as promote fair treatment irrespective of gender, race, or sexuality.
