Computing is a very creative field that combines invention with methodical thinking, and the skills that you’ll develop in our state-of-the-art computer suites, can be transferred to a wide variety of business, scientific and social contexts.

St Helens College provides a wide range of courses at different levels, enabling you to develop your technical skills and abilities in preparation for your chosen profession.

Our department alone offers more than 100 computers that you will have access to, in addition to software such as MS Office applications, Visual Studio Development, Unity Graphics Engine and Geometrics, so you can rest assured that you'll have all of the latest equipment and software to maximise your studies.

You will also have the opportunity to impress future employers and universities by working towards Microsoft Office Specialist Master status alongside your studies. 

You will succeed

Follow in the footsteps of our previous students who now work with industry leaders such as Microsoft, BT and a wide range of local computing firms. Others have gone on to secure places within the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship which attract more than 400,000 candidates from around the world. Finalists will travel to Dallas, Texas where they will compete and demonstrate their exceptional talents.
