A Gleaming Future for our Dental Apprentice
Dental apprentice, Faye, is a shining example of how an apprenticeship has topped her expectations and has left her with an invaluable wealth of experience, highly desired by industry employers.
The newly qualified Dental Nurse, studied the level 3 Advanced Diploma in Dental Nursing at St Helens College, and with the help of our supportive apprenticeships team and dedicated dental assessor, has managed to secure herself an apprenticeship at Corner Dental Surgery, working as a Dental Nurse Apprentice.
As part of her apprenticeship, Faye stepped outside of the classroom and earned whilst she learned, offering direct chair side assistance to the surgery’s dentists, which saw her caring for patients, carrying out hygiene checks, assisting dental procedures, x-rays and mouth moulds, and much more.
Inspiring Dental Nurse, Faye, spoke highly of her apprenticeship. She said, “Undertaking an apprenticeship was definitely the best decision I have ever made! I would certainly recommend it to others, particularly to those who prefer to learn more practically or are looking for the right stepping stone into the industry. I have learnt so much from being in the workplace, from preparing and sterilising instruments ready for procedures to caring for patients and providing customer service.”
