Our level 2 Food and Beverage students have been catching up on their practical work this week, creating some truly delicious mocktails as part of their 'Cocktail' unit.

One of our students, MJ, explained, "We've learnt all about layering, where we use different densities of liquids to layer drinks and create some amazing recipes. We have also learnt about the different equipment required and the history of where the first cocktail was created, in New Orleans".

Tutor, Barbara, explained, "Lockdown prevented our students from completing a number of practical modules, so it was great to have them back doing practical work and see their fantastic achievements".

Some of the amazing mocktails created included the Elderflower Spritzer, Shirley Temple, Mint Mojito, Virgin Sunrise, Strawberry Daiquiri, Jumping Jack, Gummie Bear Mocktail and Virgin Mary, amongst others. A huge well done to all our students.

Students shake up a treat with delicious mocktails!
