It was lovely to have our former student, Ashley, join us for our Employer Breakfast, as part of our #nationalapprenticeshipweek celebrations.
Ashley started her journey at St Helens College, completing her Level 2 and Level 3 in Early Years, whilst working at local nursery, the Beacon Nursery. She returned to College in 2017, to complete her Level 5 Leadership and Management in Early Years after being promoted to Team Leader.
Her assessor at the time, Marie Sephton, now Head of Apprenticeships, Quality & Compliance at the College, was proud to have her involved in the shaping of our curriculum.
Ashley now works as Deputy Manager of the Beacon Nursery and is a key contributor to our employer forums. She works in collaboration with the College’s Early Years Assessors, to introduce the ever-evolving EYFS curriculum into Apprentices learning to align with ongoing assessments in every nursery.
Ashley has spent many years learning at the college and is now instilling that knowledge into our current apprentices.
