Mother's Day Flowers Workshop

This course is suitable for students aged 19 and over.

Learn how to make your own Mother's Day flowers, for that extra special, personal touch!

This relaxed course is ideal for those with little or no floristry experience, who would like to create their own stunning floral designs.

You will learn a mix of practical floristry skills and design techniques to create a beautiful and unique Mother's Day arrangement to take home with you, which will also make a perfect gift for family and friends.

Come along and have some fun, while learning some fundamental floristry skills.

When will I start the course and how long will it take?

The course takes place in one evening, on Thursday 7th March 2024, 6.00pm - 8.30pm.

This course will take place at our Town Centre Campus, Water Street, St Helens, WA10 1PP.

What will I study?

After a demonstration, you will construct hand tied Mother's Day designs, with help and guidance from your tutor.

How is it assessed?

There is no formal assessment. You will be given feedback based on your progress with suggestions and guidance for areas for improvement.

Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?

There are no formal entry requirements, as with all of our leisure courses, the main emphasis is to come along and enjoy!

What are the course fees?

You may be eligible for Community Learning funding if you have not recently participated in a similar Community Learning programme, or received any other recent government funded training.

There are a number of fee options for this course including:

  • If you are unemployed - FREE
  • If you are employed - £30
  • If you are not eligible for Community Learning - £45

What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?

Upon successful completion of this course, you may wish to further enhance your skills and knowledge by completing further short courses.

Alternatively, you may wish to pursue an accredited qualification in this subject such as a level 2 Floristry course which will allow you to practice your skills in the trade.
