GOLD IN THE PIPELINE FOR GAS ENGINEERING APPRENTICE Gas Engineering Apprentice, Andrew achieved first place in the regional heat of the HIP Magazine Learner of the Year 2022 competition! Andrew competed against students from other colleges across the NorthWest, completing an installation designed by Jerry Whiteley, Technical Manager at the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) and Head Judge of the competition. The installation was judged on correct measurements, pipe bending, soldering standards, wastage of materials and the quality of finish, including dirty walls and safe working. He is now through to the national heat where he will go up against finalists from across the country for the title. 10
