ANIMAL MANAGEMENT WELCOMES MORE THAN 30 NEW SPECIES Our Animal Management department has welcomed lots of new residents including a 6ft python, a razor-backedmusk turtle, a group of jungle nymphs, 2 Boer goats, 3 red eyed tree frogs, 1 baby snake and a baby African bullfrog. Did you know that our indoor and outdoor animal units house over 65 different species? 20 Sports students recently had an amazing opportunity to complete their Tag Rugby Leaders Award with the Saints Community Development Foundation! Tag Rugby is a minimal contact version of rugby and for many of our students, this was their first experience of the sport. Covering both the theory and practical elements of the game, they have now gained the skills to deliver an outstanding PE and sports experience for young people. SPORT STUDENTS COMPLETE TAG RUGBY LEADERS AWARD 13 Comedy legend, Johnny Vegas, made a surprise visit to our Knowsley Main Campus for some Comic Relief fun with Supported Learning students. Full of Red Nose Day spirit, Johnny enjoyed chair Zumba and was then challenged to take part in ‘The Red Nose and Spoon Race’, before handing out prizes to the winning students and posing for photographs. The students had a brilliant morning, although the same can’t be said for Johnny who let his team down with his ‘fixed’ spoon. We can’t all be winners!
