Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Travel and Tourism

With this advanced course, you'll be looking at UK and European destinations, improving your customer service skills, as well as investigating long haul destinations and visitor attractions, understanding how they are managed.

You will also undertake interesting trips, hear from experienced guest speakers and even learn Mandarin.

When will I start the course and how long will it take?

The course will start in September and offers a one-year, 90-credit diploma route or a two-year, level 3 extended diploma route.

How is it assessed?

You will be assessed through a combination of short written tests, case studies, projects, presentations and role plays.

Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?

You should have five GCSEs at grade 4 (equivalent to grade C) or above, including English and maths.

What are the course fees?

If you are a school leaver, aged 16-18, (under the age of 19 on or before 31st August 2018), you do not pay tuition fees or examination and registration fees and may be eligible for additional support depending on your financial situation. For more information, please click here.

What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?

Once you have completed this course, you will be ready to launch your career in travel and tourism, one of the most exciting and fastest growing industries. You may choose to work within a holiday resort, events management, an airport and much more.

You will also have the opportunity to study a degree at university, enabling you to advance your knowledge and enhance your job prospects.
