Roy Castle Lung Foundation’s much-loved Spooky Welly Walk returned to Sefton Park, Liverpool this year, drawing an impressive crowd of over 8,000 visitors for a fun-filled day of Halloween-themed activities.
As this year’s official headline sponsor, our Events Team were proud to be at the start line, welcoming families with sweets, games and spooky treat bags filled with colouring books, pencils, stickers and other goodies.
We were incredibly thankful to our 16 amazing students who volunteered their time to make the event a great success. Hair and Media Makeup students crafted spooky looks, Early Years students made creepy crafts, and Performing Arts students caused mischief at the Pumpkin Patch. Our Art and Design students also created a range of fantastic props scattered throughout the park, perfect for spooky selfies!
Jenny Lloyd, Director of Fundraising, said this year’s Spooky Welly Walk, headline sponsored by the College was the most successful yet, raising £73,000 for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. She said: “This money will support patients, families, and research projects. Thank you to everyone who made this possible; our work is simply not possible without your generosity.”
The success of this year’s Spooky Welly Walk reaffirms the importance of events that bring people together and we are excited to continue supporting initiatives that celebrate and strengthen our community.
