College incredibly ‘proud’ of students and another great set of results

St Helens College and Knowsley Community College are celebrating an outstanding set of results, having achieved an impressive 99% overall BTEC pass rate, with many students securing high grades.

The vast majority of level 3 programmes achieved 100% pass rates including Applied Science, Art and Design, Creative Media, Music, Public and Uniformed Services and Computing and IT. Additionally, our first-year T Level Early Years cohort also achieved 100% pass rate.

Students are thrilled to have secured a place at their first-choice university, whilst others have secured apprenticeships or are preparing to enter employment or further training.

High-flying student, Charlotte, from Maghull High School, is celebrating today after achieving an outstanding A in Level 3 Early Years at Knowsley Community College. Charlotte is now progressing on to Edge Hill University to study Primary Early Years Education this September.

Speaking of her experience at College, Charlotte, said:

“My tutor, Rachel was amazing and so supportive throughout the course. The placements I completed gave me a real taste of what I want from my future career. Choosing this course was the best decision I ever made, and I can’t wait to start the next chapter at university.”

Top performer, Niamh, has not only achieved D*D*D* in Level 3 Applied Science, but has also secured a spot at her first-choice university, University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), to study Dentistry.

Feeling “ecstatic”, Niamh said that her “accomplishments exceeded her own expectations”, and she “can’t wait to begin her journey into Dentistry this September”.

Proud Mum, Tracy, said:

“Her hard work and dedication have truly paid off – the sky is the limit for her now and I am so excited to see what the future holds for her.”

Simon Pierce, College Principal and CEO, said:

“A big congratulations to all of our students, who are celebrating their fantastic achievements today with their friends and families.”

He added:

“Many of our students have secured the destinations they have worked so hard for, and their success highlights the tremendous efforts of our teaching and support staff, who have been with them every step of the way, supporting them to achieve their full potential. We wish them the very best for their exciting futures ahead.”
