AI in the Digital Sector

In recent years, Artificial Intelligence has seen a significant rise in popularity and application across a range of industries. Our AI in the Digital Sector course is designed to help you understand how AI can be strategically applied to improve business operations, support better decision-making, and drive innovation.

The course will start in January and will take 12 weeks to complete. You will attend College on a Friday, 1.15pm – 3.45pm.

This course will take place at our Town Centre Campus, Water Street, St Helens, WA10 1PP.

During this course you will study the following modules:

  • Foundations of Artificial Intelligence
  • AI in Business Strategy
  • AI Applications in Business
  • Data & Technology Infrastructure
  • Ethics, Governance & Risk in AI
  • AI Project Implementation
  • Emerging Trends

These modules will also cover how AI works, key business uses, real-world applications across sectors, the data and tools behind AI, ethical and legal considerations, how to run AI projects, and the latest emerging trends.

This course will be assessed using a variety of methods, including presentations, discussions and short reports.

No formal entry requirements are required, however a basic level of IT and Digital skills would be required.

You may be eligible for funding if you have not recently participated in a similar programme, or received any other recent government funded training.

There are a number of fee options for this course including:

  • If you are unemployed – FREE
  • If you are employed – £30
  • If you are not eligible for funding – £180

Upon completing this course, you’ll have a solid foundation to pursue a range of educational, professional, or entrepreneurial paths. You’ll be able to strengthen your knowledge in advanced AI topics like machine learning and natural language processing, or apply AI practically in business roles, helping organisations solve problems and improve their services.
