King’s Trust Team Programme Level 1 Award

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service deliver a FREE 12-week, King’s Trust Team Programme.

This personal development course gives you the opportunity to gain a qualification, build skills such as confidence, teamwork and motivation – all while helping your local community. The course runs three times a year in January, May and September, from locations around Merseyside.

This course takes 12 weeks to complete and takes place on the following start dates:

  • Monday 12th January 2026
  • Monday 11th May 2026

This course will support you to do the following:

  • Improve your chances of getting a job
  • Increase your confidence
  • Discover your hidden talents
  • Develop new and exciting skills
  • Make new friends
  • Gain a qualification

You don’t need any qualifications to join this course.

Students join the programme from different backgrounds, with different skills, abilities and experiences and the one thing that they all share is a desire to change or develop an aspect of themselves.

This course is free for those aged 16 – 25.

All students who successfully complete this programme will be supported to find employment and will leave with a professional CV and interview skills!
