Mental health problems affect around 1 in 10 children and young people. These issues include depression, anxiety and conduct disorder and can often be a direct response to circumstances in their lives. It is important for those working with children and young people to have a good understanding of mental health and emotional wellbeing.
During this course you will develop an understanding of the mental health problems commonly associated with children and young people, the impact of mental ill health and appropriate suitable support to maintain mental health and wellbeing.
This course is ideal for anyone who would like to improve their understanding of children and young people’s mental health.
As the course is completed online, the use of a computer or laptop is recommended, however all student have access to our campus libraries including our quiet study spaces and computer suites!
