St Helens College and Knowsley Community College are proud to announce an exciting new partnership with Vibe UK, a leading youth charity in the Liverpool City Region. This collaboration will embed Vibe’s innovative Relationship Framework 4 (RF4) model into the colleges’ curriculum, equipping students with essential life skills that go beyond academic achievement.
RF4 – short for Relationship Framework 4 – is a simple, practical model developed by Vibe UK to help young people understand and strengthen the different kinds of relationships in their lives. Built around four levels of connection, RF4 empowers students to thrive personally and socially:
Education is about more than qualifications. By adopting RF4, students receive a holistic education that makes them more adaptable, resilient, and employable in today’s world. These skills – communication, empathy, teamwork, and self-reflection- are qualities employers value as much as academic success.
Julie, Director of Student Services at the College, said:
“We are so proud to introduce our students to this framework – one that we are sure will make a huge difference to young people’s lives. RF4 will be embedded throughout the curriculum, in tutorials, enrichment activities, and wellbeing sessions, so students are continually supported to grow in confidence and emotional intelligence.”
Paul, CEO of Vibe UK, added:
“Human beings are social by nature. Neuroscience tells us that positive relationships shape brain development, while psychology shows us that belonging and emotional security are the foundations for growth. Without healthy relational skills, even the most intelligent individual may struggle in the workplace, in their family, and in society.”
Vibe UK is a youth charity dedicated to helping young people overcome challenges related to health, crime, and education. Through expert youth work, positive relationships, and outdoor activities, Vibe builds confidence, skills, and wellbeing for young people across the Liverpool City Region.
Through RF4, students at St Helens College and Knowsley Community College will:
This partnership reflects the College’s commitment to preparing young people not just for exams, but for life.
