College Achieves Investors in Diversity Bronze Award

St Helens College and Knowsley Community College are proud to have been accredited with the Investors in Diversity Bronze Award by the National Centre for Diversity, recognising excellence in equality and diversity.

The bronze award is the first of the three stages in the Investors in Diversity accreditation, which recognises an organisations commitment to build an inclusive culture by following the FREDIE values of Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement.

These principles closely align with the Colleges own values and provides a framework to continue to integrate these standards into practices and behaviours throughout all aspects of the organisation, encompassing staff, students, and stakeholders.

The College has received the accreditation following an assessment based on various criteria, including survey responses from colleagues, policy review and an assessment of initiatives.

Solat Chaudhry, Chief Executive of the National Centre for Diversity, commented:

“We are delighted that the College has achieved Investors in Diversity Bronze, and I would like to extend our congratulations to their leaders, staff, learners and colleagues on their success to date.”

Mohammed Ramzan, Vice Principal – Quality and Student Experience at the College said:

“I am delighted that we have achieved Investors in Diversity Bronze accreditation. This reflects our dedication to embed diversity and inclusion into our policies, processes and organisational culture. I am proud of all that we have achieved so far and believe we are in a strong position to work towards gaining full accreditation.”
