This nationally recognised qualification is aimed at learners who already have experience in the construction industry or those who are looking to move into this growing sector. As energy costs rise and the demand for greener homes increases, understanding how to improve the energy performance of existing buildings has never been more important.

This course introduces learners to the principles of domestic retrofit, including how effective insulation and energy efficient measures can reduce costs, improve comfort, and support the UK’s net zero goals. Learners will explore the key documents used across the retrofit industry, understand typical organisational structures, and gain clarity on the different types of retrofit information, their sources, and how they are applied in real projects.
