You may be entitled to a bursary to help cover the costs of lunch, travel and essential course equipment, uniforms and trips.
Please note, included in the fact sheet is an application form should you wish to apply for the bursary.
You may be eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan, which helps students aged 19 or above pay for their course fees. You may be eligible for one of these loans to cover the course costs for a college course at level 3, 4, 5 and 6.
If your course isn’t eligible for a loan, or if you decide not to apply for a loan to cover course/tuition fees, you will be asked to make a first payment towardsn the course fee, when enrolling on your course.
This could be the full balance or the first payment, if you wish to pay in instalments.
Many employers have an allocated budget to invest in the development of their employees. If you are considering studying for a qualification which is going to enhance your career or your performance in your current job, then your employer may agree to fund your study.
Many charities and trust funds offer funding to individuals pursuing study in further and higher education. Funding is usually awarded on the criteria of economic hardship, academic excellence, or both, and there are often other eligibility requirements based on subject or place of residence.
