Adult student, Kelly, is “so happy” with her results, after achieving an outstanding grade 7 in GCSE English and a grade 5 in GCSE Maths.

Kelly said:

I received fantastic support during my studies and the tutors and management team guided me every step of the way, including providing flexibility with classes when I needed it the most. I’m so grateful.

She added:

I have a social care background with a degree in social care and with my experience and knowledge, I am now hoping to support the next generation of aspiring health and social care professionals by becoming a Teacher. I am hoping to undertake the PGCE at St Helens College in September to enable me to do this.

Catering student, Charlie, who hopes to become a Chef in the future as he “loves cooking”, achieved an incredible grade 5 in GCSE English and GCSE Maths.

Joining us from Mill Green School, Charlie said:

The teachers were fantastic and taught very well. I am even thinking about doing higher maths and maybe English, whilst I continue to the next level of my course to see how far I can progress.

Adult student, Rahel, is “really happy” with her results, especially after achieving a grade 5 in GCSE Maths.

She said:

My tutors have been so supportive and provided great study materials and revision sessions, which were a big help. I am hoping to work in finance, so the next step for me is completing an accounting course!

Carolyn, who has previously studied Combined Science at the College, is now going on to study GCSE Maths after achieving a grade 5 in GCSE English. She also has her sights set on university to study an area of psychology.

She said:

I want to say a huge thank you to my tutors, Darren, Charley and Katie. They were amazing and so supportive. They made doing my course a healing experience, especially the writing classes, which allowed me to express myself.
