The College was proud to acknowledge the exceptional achievements of some of our students and staff members at the annual Knowsley Education Awards.

The award ceremony took place at the Shakespeare North Playhouse, honouring the best of education in Knowsley, during the borough’s 50th-anniversary celebrations.

Computing and IT student, Harvey and Electrical Installation Apprentice, Chelsie, were both nominated for Outstanding Achievement with Chelsie winning the award for exceptional progress since starting her apprenticeship.

The Construction and Engineering team also received a high commendation award in the STEM Project of the Year category for their contribution to the ‘Krazy Kart’ project in collaboration with the local charity, “Your Voice, Your Choice”. The award was proudly accepted by Plumbing Tutor, Charlie, and student, Tom.

Clare Webster, Director of Apprenticeships at the College, praised Chelsie, saying:

“As a promising young apprentice at Tyrell Electrical, Chelsie has relentless drive and motivation setting high standards for herself.”

She added:

Her exceptional performance at the SPARKS Female of the Year competition, despite being a first-year entrant, is a testament to her unique abilities. Chelsie is not only an aspiring Electrician but also a potential role model in the sector, inspiring other females with her amazing story.
